I’ll be speaking at the Retired Physician Seminar at St Mary’s Hospital on Saturday October 26, 2019. My talk will be on social and ethical issues in precision medicine, and the CME learning objectives are:
- Appreciate the psychosocial risks involved in non-invasive genetic testing, and understand how these risks vary depending on the information delivery context
- Identify the social and ethical issues that are specific to germline and somatic genetic testing, respectively
- Apply ethical principles for decision-making in contexts of uncertain/rapidly changing information
